Stock Finishing Services
The Wood to metal fit is one of the most important aspect of gun stock fit and finish.

Restoration of a stock may involve only the refinishing of the wood to return it to the original color and finish sheen. Most of the time a restoration will require the repair of dents, gouges, cracks or even missing sections of wood, that will need repaired. Some stocks are beyond repair and will need to be replaced, fitting and shaping of new wood is a time consuming process but when done properly is nearly identical to the original wood.

Restocking is the last resort in the restoration of a firearm. If the original wood can be saved it can significantly reduce the price of a restoration.

T & D Metal Works use a urethane finish available in Matte, Satin, Semi-gloss, and Gloss. If a Hand Rubbed Oil Finish is desired add an additional $100.00 to the desired finish grade option.

Our Finish Grades:

Collector Finish is a filled grain finish. The wood grain will be completely filled, smooth to the touch with no visible open grain. Our collector finish is available in satin, semi-gloss or gloss.

Exhibition Grade Finish is a meticulously hand rubbed high gloss finish. The hand rubbing rate is priced hourly.
